Through the Mists of Time

Right so this is going to be a double post, putting that one out there in advance. This post is going to be out the armies I play at the moment, that's not including the ones I have but hate so don't use.

So 40K

My 40k at the moment comprises of my Eldar, this is the 2nd eldar army I've done and I don't intend it to be the last. My first eldar army was an Ulthwe themed army which ironically never contained Eldrad while all of my lists that followed on the 2nd army do, But the Ulthwe army is not one I want to speak about it lost almost all of its games and was used many years ago it has long been forgotten. It was also painted in the space of a week for a tournament so all in all it was pretty crap. My 2nd list is my own craftworld, well a splinter world of Biel Tan to be precise, they are known as the Serpentine raiders. This list its self being of Biel tan origin contains a large number of aspect warriors and seeing as there sort of corsairs they're naturally mechanised, if you ask me this is one of the few ways to play eldar in 5th edition. You will most likely see this army within the next few posts be it as a list or with actual photos when I finally get me a new camera.

My other main army in 40k is my chaos marines, these rusty old buggers worship none other than grandfather Nurgle himself. when I completed this army 2 years ago i was rather proud of myself with the painting but now as I look back on it I noticed that once I took it to the great devourer tournament I never really finished it, and still to this day there are few models who's basing isn't quite complete or the odd panel that was never highlighted it all looks a mess to be honest now, but back then I was just proud to have finished something. Despite the fact that this army was taken to a tournament I wouldn't call it competitive, it was more of a fun list although it did contain some of the harder units such as the bikers with mark of Nurgle for a toughness of 6! although I'm not going to go into the nitty gritty of the chaos book yet I intend to do that in a later post.

Right Fantasy then

EMPIRE
That's all really I've gotten bored of any other fantasy army I've ever tried to play, I mean I still love wood elves but I don't play them and still don't think my painting is good enough for those gorgeous models. So with welves aside, the humans of the empire have to be my calling and im fine with that who doesn't like waxed moustaches and pantaloons. My empire hail from Talbecland although they have moved around a lot being from Stirland then Bogenhafen and now finally Talbecland. The army is a religious crusading force lead by a mighty war alter, but to clash with the religous nutters the army has taken on some allies from the City of Nuln. I will get to some of the tactics I employ with an army like the Empire in a later post though. These also will hopefully crop every now and again in photos and reports.

Warmachine next

So my warmachine has been neglected recently I got into it in summer 2010 and got hold of a starter box then a couple of solos but never really got any further, its mainly because I wasn't so keen on going to down to the club on a Monday night to play against the veterans who seem to have a tendency to smear you across the table no matter how long you've been playing the game. I mean its not that they don't help out its just that comes later which I found rather annoying although I should really get a few more units and head back down for another wholoping. So the faction I chose were the protectorate of Menoth, and that's for one simple reason who doesn't like religous nutters with steampunk robots and flame throwers.

Malifaux my most recent venture

So as I said previously I got into Malifaux summer 2011 after having looked at it for over a year. I really don't know what it is about it that made me take so long to decide that I should spend money on these awesome models cause it probably should have been a no brainer. And anyway what's not to love about it, Steampunk Victorian horror and that's just scratching the surface. So for malifaux I have 2 crews, my main and favourite crew is Rasputina she's an arcanist (she likes spells and explosion of ice) she's an ice witch and so runs a crews of cold hearted minions and constructs of ice. My 2nd crew is Seamus, to understand Seamus you need combine a pair of disturbing features. for Seamus think the mad hatter and Jack the ripper. He's a resurectionist with an inkling for hookers (I no your loving this game already right? ). but those aren't just any old hookers no that's right there ZOMBIE HOOKERS. The model range for Malifaux is constantly expanding and with each new release brings a new interesting twist that I am unable to find in any other wargame I've played or seen.

Right well that's all for tonight as its 23:00 and i have work in the morning.

so until next time
